Svendsgaard'S Inn, Carmel-by-the-Sea

The suite I stayed in felt outdated and in need of upgrading, but it was spotless and had some nice amenities. The breakfast was overly sweet, and the overall ambiance of the hotel was worn out and tired, with some maintenance issues. However, the staff was very accommodating and friendly, making my stay pleasant.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms were large and beautifully decorated, complete with a cozy 4 post bed and all the amenities one could need. However, the fungus in the bathroom was quite off-putting after a long drive. The service was exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond to accommodate my needs, even ensuring my mom had a room with minimal stairs. The location was convenient, close enough to shops and restaurants but still in a peaceful area. The dining experience was top-notch, with delicious pastries and fruit delivered each morning. The facilities were great, with coffee available in-room and even pet amenities offered. Loved my time here!

Staying at Svensgaard's Inn was a pleasant experience overall. The rooms could use some upgrading and privacy enhancements, but being conveniently located near the pool was both noisy and bustling. The difference in price for these room locations was noticeable but not significant.
